The sculptor's keen interest in human relationships and emotions was the inspiration for this series. Eino responded to an often tumultuous society by immortalizing, in marble, the ideals of family, commitment and harmony. One of his earliest bodies of work, the austere style differs markedly from sculptures Eino produced later in his career.
